【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsareusefulasrapid,nondestructivetechniquesforthein-placedeterminationofthedensityofunhardenedconcrete.Thebackscattertestmethodisalsousefulforthesamepurposeonhardenedconcrete.ThefundamentalassumptionsinherentinthetestmethodsarethatComptonscatteringisthedominantinteractionandthatthematerialundertestishomogeneous.Thesetestmethodsaresuitableforcontrolandforassistinginacceptancetestingduringconstruction,forevaluationofconcretequalitysubsequenttoconstruction,andforresearchanddevelopment.Note18212;Caremustbetakenwhenusingthesetestmethodsinmonitoringthedegreeofconsolidation,whichistheratiooftheactualdensityachievedtothemaximumdensityattainablewithaparticularconcrete.Thetestmethodspresentedhereareusedtodeterminetheactualdensity.Adensitymeasurement,byanytestmethod,isafunctionofthecomponentsoftheconcreteandmayvary,tosomeextent,inresponsetothenormal,acceptablevariabilityofthosecomponents.Testresultsmaybeaffectedbyreinforcingsteel,bythechemicalcompositionofconcreteconstituents,andbysampleheterogeneity.Thevariationsresultingfromtheseinfluencesareminimizedbyinstrumentdesignandbytheuser''scompliancewithappropriatesectionsofthetestprocedure.Resultsoftestsbythebackscattertestmethodmayalsobeaffectedbythedensityofunderlyingmaterial.Thebackscattertestmethodexhibitsspatialbiasinthattheapparatus''ssensitivitytothematerialunderitdecreaseswithdistancefromthesurfaceoftheconcrete.Note28212;Typically,backscattergaugereadingsrepresentthedensityinthetop75to100mm[3to4in.]ofmaterial.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofthein-placedensityofunhardenedandhardenedconcrete,includingrollercompactedconcrete,bygammaradiation.FornotesonthenucleartestseeAppendixX1.1.2Twotestmethodsaredescribed,asfollows:
