【摘要】:Variationscanoccurinsurfacepreparation,application,andcuringofcoatingmaterials.Theymayaffecttheperformanceofacoatingsystemexposedtoradiationwhenconsideredinconjunctionwithapplicableengineeredsafetyrequirements.Thistestmethodisdesignedtoprovideauniformtesttoassessthesuitabilityofcoatings,usedinnuclearpowerfacilities,undercontinuousradiationexposurefortheprojected40-yearlifetimeofthefacilities,includingradiationduringaDBA.Specificplantradiationexposuremayexceedorbelessthantheamountspecifiedin6.2ofthisstandard.Thegammadoseusedmayexceedtheactualanticipatedplantgammadoseinordertoaccountforexpectedbetaexposureaswell.CoatingsinLevelIIareas(outsideprimarycontainment)areexpectedtobeexposedtoloweraccumulatedradiationdoses.1.1Thistestmethodcoversastandardprocedureforevaluatingthelifetimeradiationtoleranceofcoatingstobeusedinnuclearpowerplants.ThistestmethodisapplicabletoCoatingServiceLevelsIandII.
